It's all about the artists and artworks that inspire you!

There are many ways someone can be an inspiration. By displaying inspiring community spirit, or providing helpful resources for example. Or maybe you just stumbled over an amazing artwork that simply knocked you off your feet and inspired you to make something of your own right away.
No matter what it is, we want you to share it!

Simply pick an artist or deviation you find inspiring in some way, and post them in a comment on this journal. Please also include why you chose that artist or artwork.

"I would suggest MadLibbs because her style is so unique, I love the cute cartoon vibe it has mixed with a dash of anime that's very subtle (I feel like I'm describing food haha). Anyway her style really got me interested in illustration and animation and it always makes me happy to look at because her characters are so expressive. Seriously, check her out!"

"The lovely cality is one of my best friends on dA. I'm really, really glad I commented on one of her beautiful poems, otherwise we would probably never have started talking! And talking to Steph is really always a pleasure; she's so kind and her comments are always helpful. And she managed to make my day quite a few times already. But Steph isn't only an amazing person and supportive friend, but also a very talented artist. I have known Papaya-Style's art since... forever. I first stumbled over it on a German art site, and was instantly inspired. It was one of the reasons I wanted to get better, to be able to draw like her one day. So imagine my happiness when I stumbled upon her work years later, here on dA! I was really happy to see her beautiful works, and get to know Papaya, who was some kind of idol to me.  She still continues to inspire me today, and everyone who loves great digital art should check out her gallery, because she's an amazing digital artist!


SavageFrog  Well, I have to admit that whenever I try to explain how and why she inspires me all I can come up with is: "She's simply awesome!" Because that's what Froggy is, the awesome leader of this wonderful group, the awesome artist and the awesome community member.
