December is the month of wishing! 31 Days of Wishing that is! We are also still giving thanks and featuring those great people nearest and dearest to us!
lapaa lapaa is just the most amazing girl you could ever meet. Lapaa is very smart, kind, and has a way with words. She's also got her heart in the right place. She's currently taking all commissions she gets and pouring them into two projects. One is a tablet teaching class at her school where she is informing her fellow artists about using tablets and digital art. Informing that even though people use a computer to draw, it's still art. The other is an art book which she is making and donating all the proceeds to Randall Children's Hospital Foundation of Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, where her little sister was treated for leukemia. I simply want to help lapaa's art book sell well. Many amazing artists signed up to be apart of it (submitted by Maiyunbby... and don't forget to get involved with her great charity: courageARTBOOK!)
:thumb303907146: The Observing Cat by Caltson is a vibrant work with depth of color, excellent focus and an absolutely adorable subject! The colors of the cat contrast with the natural environment around it, and the expression on the cat lend to the brilliant title given to the piece!
Playing the Keys by HalfInane-HalfMental is a beautiful and eloquent poem full of memory and emotion! Reading the poem makes you feel like you are right there with her, listening to her voice and every chord played.
James--Steele, "I'm honestly quite thankful for the NaNoWriMo challenge. It's given me the motivation to write every day for the past month, something I haven't been able to do. Ever."
JeanaWei, "I would like to thank my sister, Airglass, not only is she an amazing person that helps me through my daily life, but she also inspires me to do many of the drawings that I do and gives me a lot of motivation. Thank you!"
DiscordsDestiny, "I'm thankful for Hai-zaka for their detailed, and motivating, critique on my Legacy Act I. It helped me find out what was broken so that I could try to fix it. Thanks, Hai~"
Roxy-Graphics, "My most amazing friend 16Jasmine16! She is always so amazing and kind and I love her. She's always there for me when I need her the most and she can always make me smile and laugh! Whenever I see her I can't help but smile because she's always giving me something to smile about. Thank you so much Jassy! "
Idellechi, "I'm thankful for all of my friends who continued to support me, especially art4life217!"
Maiyunbby, "This year I'm thankful my boyfriend is strong and healthy. He has crohn's disease and has had it since he was 10. He's been fighting it since then and this last year we finally got it under control. But then it seemed to quickly fail, or so we thought. He apparently got gastritis and was in TONS of pain for at least three months. We thought it was his crohn's again, thinking his medicine wasn't working and he'd be suffering again while we found a new medicine. It was agonizing to watch him be in so much pain and be unable to do anything for him. I'm thankful it wasn't his crohn's and that he's now all better."
HalfInane-HalfMental, "well If I could give something Lol It would be thanks to all my watchers and the people who have supported me in the past *tears* I'm also thank ful of my boyfriend being so kind to me e-e oh gawd I'm greatful for everyone of my friends being there for me without them well I guess I wouldn't be who i am today e-e they make everything better and make me happy ^^"
Angiebutt, "I'm so thankful for Valociraptor. Her comments always make me smile, even when I'm feeling sad. I lurk on her profile more than I should. And I'm always super excited to see what she will draw or write next."
Zap-Zap-Forever, "This year?...As cheesy as it sounds, I'm thankful for the whole DeviantART community! I haven't even been here a year, and yet already I feel so welcome and supported by all my watchers and fellow artists who give me strength and motivation to do what I love to do! I hope new arrivals get the same experience I have had and I know they will recieve the same welcome I have if they are willing to strive for it. I can't wait to kick off the new year at a site that I love just as much as I do my own home!"
CyphonFiction The 12 days of Virgins just started, and I'm hoping we do well with it. The plan is to complete the entire 12 Days of Christmas song in 24 days: 2 days for each 'day', all themed to TheVirginTrilogy. If we finish Nephi-Fephi and I will sing the song we created and post it for everyone to laugh at.
LoneRobin Premiums for Christmas is a project dedicated to giving premium memberships to other deviantART members who can't get them by themselves! Check it out!
Have a new project? Tell us a little about it in the comments and leave a link!
To get yourself added or to add someone you know, simply comment on this blog. Comments will be reviewed by our panel and added as space is available every Tuesday. You must include a short write-up of who and why they should be a Senior or what deviation and why you think it is DD-worthy. The better your write-up, the more likely someone will be inspired to help you in your goal. And YES, you can include a write-up about you or one of your own deviations.
People who have either made a strong impact on deviantART (like `JoseFelipeM or `The-Lantiis) or people who have been here for a long time, hence making them "seniors." (like `dangeruss) They get the ` mark next to their username.
I mentioned earlier today about trying to raise points to give out some PMs before the give-one-get-one PM deal ends, and I was wondering if this could be added to the New Projects list? [link] I'm hoping to grant at least one lucky deviant in this group's PM wish before the 16th
